Overview

TERM TIME SETTING

We are seeking a dedicated, motivated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, providing a safe and nurturing environment that promotes learning and development. Applicants should possess relevant childcare experience and excellent communication skills in English. You must be able to work 8.45am-4.00pm Monday to Friday TERM TIME. This post is for 38 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

Supervise and care for children in a Pre-School setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support developmental milestones Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages curiosity and learning Support children's emotional and social development through positive interactions, carrying out activities and being a keyworker to a group of children. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of childcare and education are upheld Manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and play activities Demonstrate leadership by guiding junior staff members and volunteers as needed Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns, feeding back to them daily

Qualifications

Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare best practices Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Childcare qualifications recognised by relevant authorities (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare) or equivalent
This role offers an enriching environment for those passionate about early childhood development, providing opportunities for professional growth within a supportive team. You will be trained to use makaton signing with the children and trained in early interventions that we deliver to our children.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.70 per hour

Expected hours: 33.75 per week
