Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues will be essential in fostering positive relationships within the nursery setting.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and supervision for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with nursery policies and procedures. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive team environment. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery space that meets health and safety regulations. Drive initiatives that enhance the overall nursery experience for children and families.

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Demonstrated ability to manage groups of children while fostering an inclusive atmosphere. Leadership qualities that inspire confidence among peers and contribute to a positive team dynamic. A proactive approach to driving improvements within the nursery environment.

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
