We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Responsibilities
Supervise and care for children in accordance with nursery policies and procedures
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and daily routines
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and daily activities
Support children's individual needs through personalised care plans
Assist in organising nursery routines, including meal times, naps, and play sessions
Lead by example in demonstrating good behaviour, management skills, and leadership within the team
Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment
Support colleagues in their roles to ensure smooth daily operations
Flexibility with working hours nursery opening hours fall between 7.30-6.00 Mon-Fri
Experience
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting
Knowledge of childcare practices, early childhood development, and health & safety regulations
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise confidently with parents and colleagues
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent. Ideally level 3 but level 2 would be considered for the right person
Experience with child behaviour understanding techniques is advantageous
Valid driving licence is preferred
