We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate level 3 Nursery Nurse to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. The Nursery Nurse will play a vital role in supporting early childhood education and ensuring high standards of childcare are maintained at all times.
Duties
Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
Support children's emotional, social, and physical growth through engaging play and interaction
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
Collaborate with colleagues to create an organised and welcoming nursery environment
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and daily experiences
Assist in managing the nursery's daily operations, including organising routines and managing resources
Demonstrate leadership by guiding junior staff members and supporting team development
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting
Drive responsibilities may include transporting children safely to outings or appointments when required
Experience
experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting would be great but not compulsory
leadership skills to oversee daily nursery activities effectively - can provide training for this
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Knowledge of childcare practices, early childhood education principles, and child development stages
Experience with child supervision, behaviour management, and creating engaging learning environments
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending off-site activities
