We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while fostering the developmental needs of children in a professional setting. The ideal applicant will have experience with children, childcare qualifications, and strong communication skills in English. A valid driving licence is desirable to support mobility requirements.
Duties
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development
Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods ensuring their safety at all times
Support children's learning through personalised care and educational programmes aligned with early childhood education standards
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure a consistent approach to childcare and development
Manage daily operational tasks within the nursery setting, including organisation of resources and maintaining hygiene standards
Demonstrate leadership by guiding junior staff members and volunteers when necessary
Drive company vehicles as required for nursery-related activities or errands
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare environment
Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare management
Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee daily nursery operations effectively
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Childcare certification recognised within the UK (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Childcare) or equivalent
Must have Paediatric first aid
Experience with nursery management systems is advantageous
Valid driving licence to facilitate transportation duties if required
