An exciting opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic, suitably qualified nursery nurse to join our Child disability team. The posts will be based in Cimla Hospital. The hours of the posts are 22.5 and 18.75 hours per week. Due to funding these posts are fixed term until April 25.
The successful applicant will work in partnership with other member of the Child Disability Team , in a range of settings including persons own home, clinics and groups. The community nursery nurse will also be part of a wider dynamic team from various sectors including health, medical, local authority and the volunteer sector to provide advice and support to children with disability and their significant others within a multiagency framework. The Child Disability Team is an innovative team that seeks to promote evidence based research and practice in order to view the family holistically and promote children and their significant others to reach their full potential.
Community nursery nurses within the team are highly trained with an additional skills set to meet the additional needs of children under their care .
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The main duties of the role of the community nursery nurse is to participate in the assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating care for patients/clients as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Duties will include a combination of working with children and their significant others at home or in a group environment. The post holder will liaise with and work in partnership with members of the wider Child Disability Team and voluntary and statutory agencies as appropriate.
