Job Description
Due to an increase in provision we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our fantastic team at our Newcastle setting.
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children aged 16-36 months. Your role will involve creating a safe and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, and develop.
Duties include
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities and experiences that promote children's physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development
- Provide personal care to children, including feeding, changing diapers, and assisting with toileting
- Observe and assess children's behaviour, progress, and development, and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with parents and other staff members to ensure the individual needs of each child are met
- Maintain a clean and organized nursery environment
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all children in your care
Qualifications

Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early years education
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
DBS and satisfactory references are required
