Playbox Day Nursery has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced and committed Early Years practitioner to join our nursery. The right candidate will have a hands on approach and a passion for caring for children, ensuring they feel safe, happy and secure. The position requires the candidate to be fun, enthusiastic and effective to support our hardworking team.
Job Purpose
To provide a safe and secure environment that provides play and leaning opportunities for all children across our age groups. The right candidate will be required to work well within a small team and share their own experiences. She/he will be required to support the day to day smooth running across the setting and the early years curriculum planning is implemented to our high standard. She/he will also have the responsibility of a number of key children and ensure good parent relationships.
Main Duties
To support with day to day activities and undertake necessary duties.
To be involved in the planning, delivery and monitoring of the nursery's EYFS curriculum.
To support staff and students on a daily basis.
To share any child protection concerns.
To have an input on long term and medium term plans to monitor the effectiveness of the setting.
To participate in carrying out actions plans this enables the setting to achieve an outstanding Ofsted rating
To support staff to carry out their roles effectively.
To contribute and support in the daily programme of activities and events.
To ensure the welfare and the safety of children is promoted within the setting.
To ensure records are properly maintained and updated.
To liaise closely with parents and carers and encouraging parent's involvement.
To ensure any recommendations from professionals are implemented.
To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by room seniors and management.
Essential criteria
NVQ level 3 or above
Knowledge of the EYFS framework and how it should be implemented.
Knowledge of Safeguarding
Excellent communication and organisations skills
Confidence and creativity to share your own ideas and experiences
A fun, positive and enthusiastic outlook.

18.5 hours per week plus extra may be available.
