Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to young children in a nurturing environment. Duties

- Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Observe and assess children's progress, ensuring that individual needs are met.
- Create a warm, welcoming environment for children and their families, encouraging positive relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and daily activities.
- Support children in their social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviour and conflict resolution skills.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery procedures.

Skills

- Strong understanding of child development principles and the EYFS framework.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in planning activities and maintaining records.
- The person must hold a relevant level 3 qualification in childcare or equivalent.
