Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care for children. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive and responsive care to children in the nursery setting. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, ensuring all health and safety regulations are met. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Manage daily routines, including feeding, napping, and hygiene practices. Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive team atmosphere. Document children's progress and maintain accurate records as required. Support children in developing their independence and self-care skills.

Skills

Strong background in childcare with relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or similar fields. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to manage groups of children effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour. Leadership qualities to guide and support junior staff or volunteers. Experience working with children of various ages, particularly in a nursery setting. A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential off-site activities or events. Ability to engage with children creatively through play, storytelling, and educational activities. Strong organisational skills to manage daily tasks efficiently.
