Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This position requires a strong commitment to early childhood education and the ability to engage with children in a meaningful way. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting the development and well-being of children while promoting their learning through play.

Responsibilities



Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and self-esteem. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns that may arise. Support the management team in maintaining nursery policies and procedures. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.

Experience



Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications is highly desirable. Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members when necessary. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential for this role. A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to work collaboratively within a team is crucial. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 33 per week
