As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in the development and care of young children in a nursery setting. Your primary responsibility will be to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social development of children. You will work closely with parents and colleagues to ensure that each child's individual needs are met while fostering their growth and learning.
Duties
Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-8years.
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote early childhood development.
Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and welcoming at all times.
Support children in their daily routines, including feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a positive team atmosphere.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
Skills
Strong management and leadership abilities to guide staff and support children's learning.
Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
Excellent communication skills in English to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
A valid driving licence is preferred for potential transport duties related to outings or activities.
Ability to create a nurturing environment that encourages children's curiosity and creativity.
