Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and possess the skills necessary to provide high-quality care and education in a nursery setting. This role requires effective communication, leadership abilities, and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles.

Duties

Provide attentive and nurturing care to children in the nursery, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive environment. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities, ensuring a structured yet flexible approach. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development and sharing updates with parents as required. Collaborate with team members to create a positive atmosphere that encourages children's socialisation and emotional growth. Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings while promoting best practices in childcare.

Qualifications

A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience working with children is essential. Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a small team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact confidently with children and adults alike. A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to engage children in meaningful activities. Valid driving licence preferred but not essential for all candidates.
