Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric nursing and be passionate about providing high-quality care to infants and young children. This role involves working closely with families, ensuring the health and well-being of our youngest patients, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

Duties

Provide direct patient care to infants and young children, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications. Conduct physical examinations and assess the health needs of patients. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Assist in the administration of treatments such as IV infusion, tube feeding, and medication administration. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate families on health management, nutrition, and developmental milestones. Participate in discharge planning and provide follow-up care instructions. Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control protocols.

Skills

The ideal candidate should possess a variety of skills, including but not limited to:

Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Experience in critical care settings (ICU, PICU) and knowledge of acute pain management. Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and CPT coding. Competence in performing procedures such as suturing, venipuncture, catheterization, and phlebotomy. Knowledge of developmental disabilities and experience working with individuals with special needs. Strong assessment skills for patient evaluation and monitoring. Ability to work effectively in various settings including outpatient clinics, urgent care facilities, or hospitals. Experience with pediatric care including toddler and infant care practices. Understanding of hospice & palliative medicine principles as well as family planning services.
