We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. This role involves working closely with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being while promoting positive learning experiences.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and supervision for children in a nursery setting.
Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all children.
Monitor children's progress and behavior, implementing behavior management strategies as needed.
Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children's individual needs and development.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the playroom or garden.
Assist in the preparation of materials for experiences.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills in early childhood education.
Requirements
Experience working with children in a childcare setting is essential.
Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
First aid certification is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
