Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your leadership and management skills will be essential in guiding both the children and your colleagues in providing high-quality childcare.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Develop and implement engaging learning activities that promote the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of each child. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Support the management team in maintaining a well-organised nursery environment that meets health and safety standards. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education. Assist with daily routines including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play activities.

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong management and leadership skills to effectively guide staff and support children's learning experiences. Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
