We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. Initially the post is to cover Maternity Leave.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, demonstrating the ability to manage and communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. This role involves creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive, learn, and develop essential skills. This post will also involve being flexible within in your work pattern to help cover holidays and sickness, these hours will be in addition to your set working days.
Responsibilities
Manage daily activities and routines within the nursery setting to ensure a safe and stimulating environment for children.
Communicate effectively with children to support their learning and development, using appropriate language and techniques.
Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote early learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Drive initiatives that foster children's social, emotional, and physical development through play-based learning.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, sharing updates with parents and guardians as necessary.
Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment focused on high-quality childcare.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery procedures at all times.
Requirements
Proven experience in childcare or early years education is essential, preferably within a nursery setting.
Strong leadership skills to guide and support both children and fellow practitioners.
Excellent communication skills in English to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is desirable.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude in a busy environment.
A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development is crucial.
