Are you passionate about care and education in Early Years and looking to join a dedicated and supportive day nursery?

We are looking for a friendly, dedicated, and qualified practitioner to join our team at Woodlands. We have fantastic opportunities for individual s who are passionate about early years, and thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our team.

With over 20 years experience and hundreds of happy children, Woodlands is a local family run Nursery with two large settings, known for their homely atmosphere, and extensive facilities with children at the heart.

Woodlands is open 7.30am to 6pm - Monday to Friday and are looking for both full time and part time staff.

Full time hours 3 or 4 days a week 7.30-6pm (Totaling 28.5 to 38 hours)

Part time hours 2 days a week or afternoons 12.30/1pm - 6pm (Totaling 20 - 27.5hours)

Performance based pay - At Woodlands everyone starts on the same wage, we have a transparent scoring system which allows practitioners to be in control of their pay through performance.

Your Responsibilities

Key person for a group of children - Supporting our youngest children with their care learning and development, working with their families Work as part of a team to create and maintain a learning environment to suit the needs of the children Good communicator - to be able to listen to and speak to children and their families about their interests With support from our SENCo, work with SEN children, following individual education plans and working with professionals Communicate effectively with parents daily about their child, and discussing any developmental needs and progress With training - use Tapestry online learning journal to maintain records of children's experiences and development To interact with children throughout the day, from chatting about the birds in the trees, to building towers and knocking them down again and again and using your skills to develop children's learning through play
