We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team (0 - 2 years) . The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills within a supportive setting, fostering positive growth and learning experiences for children aged from infancy to preschool age.
Duties
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
Supervise children throughout the day, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment in accordance with health and safety standards
Support children's individual needs through personalised care plans and attentive supervision
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's progress and daily routines
Assist in the organisation of nursery routines such as mealtimes, nap times, and play sessions
Lead by example in demonstrating positive behaviour management strategies and fostering a respectful atmosphere
Contribute to team meetings and ongoing training sessions to enhance childcare practices
Occasionally assist with driving duties related to nursery outings or activities outside the premises
Experience
Previous experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood education setting is highly desirable
Demonstrable management or leadership experience in childcare environments is advantageous
Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education frameworks
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Experience with organising activities that support holistic child development
Valid driving licence is preferred for assisting with nursery outings or errands
