We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and early childhood education to children in a nurturing environment. This role requires strong management and leadership skills, along with a genuine passion for supporting children's development. The Nursery Practitioner will work closely with colleagues to create a safe, engaging, and educational setting that promotes learning through play and exploration.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support children's developmental needs
Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being
Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages learning and social interaction
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and daily experiences
Lead and support junior staff members, demonstrating excellent management and leadership skills
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and safeguarding policies and procedures
Organise the daily routines, including meal times, rest periods, and outdoor play
Contribute to the ongoing development of the nursery's curriculum and activities
Experience
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting is essential
Proven management or leadership experience within childcare environments is desirable
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Experience with childcare regulations, safeguarding procedures, and child development principles is preferred
Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting children or supplies as required
