We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their development and learning through engaging activities. Duties
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
Supervise children during playtime, meal times, and rest periods to ensure their safety at all times
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities in accordance with regulatory requirements
Organise and manage the nursery environment to ensure it is clean, safe, and stimulating
Support children's individual needs by adapting activities and providing personalised care
Assist in the organisation of outings and excursions, ensuring all safety procedures are followed
Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery policies and procedures
Skills
Proven experience with children and in childcare settings, preferably within a nursery environment
Strong management and leadership skills to guide and support junior staff or volunteers
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
Ability to organise tasks efficiently whilst maintaining flexibility in a busy environment
Compassionate approach with a genuine passion for child development
Good driving skills are desirable for organising outings or transporting children when necessary
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating leadership qualities when required

A qualification in Early Childhood Education Level 3 or equivalent is highly desirable
