Overview

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Nursery Bank Staff to work at our lovely setting in Thames Ditton on a zero hours contract.

Shifts will be offered during the nursery opening times, Monday to Friday, from 7.30am until 6.30pm. The setting is on Station Road so please ensure you can travel there easily. It is important to note, you may be offered as few as 8 hours per week or 40 hours in a week, there are no guarantees.

This role is essential in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their development. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a background in childcare or early childhood education, and the ability to manage various responsibilities within a nursery setting.

Duties

Provide high-quality care and supervision for children in the nursery. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns. Collaborate with other staff members to create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the nursery space. Support children during meal times, nap times, and play activities. Manage behavior in a positive manner, using effective strategies to encourage good conduct.

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable. A background in early childhood education or childcare qualifications will be an advantage. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanor.
Please note, this is NOT a term time only or lunchtime cover job role. We need flexibility and availability.

Pay: 12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week
