Job Title:

Level 3 Early Years Practitioner

Location:

Banstead, Surrey

Reports To:

Room Leader / Nursery Manager

Job Purpose:

To provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, supporting their physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Child Development & Learning

Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's development across all EYFS areas. Observe, assess, and record children's progress, maintaining accurate learning journeys. Support children's independence, confidence, and self-esteem.

Safeguarding & Welfare

Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times. Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns to the designated safeguarding lead. Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment.

Partnership with Parents

Build strong, respectful relationships with parents and carers. Share information about children's progress and daily experiences. Support transitions into and out of the setting.

Teamwork & Professionalism

Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive team environment. Attend staff meetings, training, and development sessions. Adhere to all policies and procedures, including health and safety, confidentiality, and equality.

Qualifications & Experience:

Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE Level 3 Diploma, or equivalent). Experience working in an early years setting. Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development. Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training (desirable).

Pay: Up to 13.25 per hour
