We have been at the heart of Braunton for over 8 years and continue to grow into the one of the area's trusted childcare providers.

Our team of dedicated, professional nursery practitioners help children to settle into our nursery, giving them the very best care whilst ensuring that the Early Years Foundation stage is being implemented in a fun and stimulating way.

Open 50 weeks per year, we take children from birth to 5 years of age, with a dedicated baby room which is safe and secure. Children are allocated a key worker who will help them settle and develop the skills they need as they grow.

Our outside space at Beach Buddies is somewhere where all the children love to play and explore. We believe in using the outside space and nature as one of the foundations in helping our children to learn about the world around them and help them develop their fine and gross motor skills. All that fun and fresh air makes for happy, healthy children.

We have recently added a dedicated Forest School to our setting, which is enjoyed by our Pre School children. Knowledge and interest in the outdoors would be a bonus!

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person who is passionate about Early Years to join our amazing Day Nursery. Good communication skills with children, parents and colleagues is essential.

You would work as part of a highly dedicated team in providing a stimulating, fun and safe environment for all children. Our Level 3 Nursery Practitioner will support the management team to enhance our wonderful setting. We provide a high standard of care, learning and play in line with the EYFS. We are open all year (not school hours/times). The position would be Full time for 35+ hours per week, with all of our staff working a 4-day week and designated day off.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold a relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (minimum) Be passionate about working with children Hold a good understanding of the EYFS, SEND and Safeguarding Be willing to continue their CPD Be adaptable and enjoy working with all ages of children
