What we're looking for:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic level 3 qualified (or above ) Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. You must be available to work between the hours of 07:30 and 18:00 Monday to Friday.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop knowledge and skills of Montessori education within a supportive setting. Applicants should possess relevant experience with children and childcare, along with strong communication skills in English. A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate transportation needs to the setting. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the development of our young learners including those with additional needs.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in the nursery setting
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations
Ensure children are safeguarded at all times by ensuring regular training is undertaken.
Support children's social, emotional, and educational development through personalised care and guidance
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and daily activities
Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily routines, outings, and special events
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
Assist in managing nursery resources, ensuring a clean and organised environment
Uphold nursery policies and procedures consistently, demonstrating leadership when required
Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery programmes by sharing ideas and best practices
Experience
Proven experience working with children within a childcare or nursery environment
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
Demonstrated management or leadership capabilities in a childcare setting
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Experience with organising activities that promote child development
Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting children or supplies as needed
