Support the development of a safe, educational, and engaging "Learning through Play" environment
Assist qualified staff in planning and documenting activities tailored to each child's needs
Have a clear understanding of Safeguarding Policies and Procedures
Maintain a strong awareness of health and safety procedures to ensure children's safety
Carry out additional duties as directed by the employer
Attend staff meetings and contribute to nursery events as required
Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
Understanding of the Statutory Welfare Requirements
Clear understanding of the Safeguarding Requirements
Undertake training in:
o Paediatric First Aid
o Safeguarding Children
o Basic Food Hygiene
Model best practices and professional conduct for other room staff
Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding their child's daily experiences, well-being, and development
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare
Attributes:
Willingness to undertake further training and qualifications after a 3-month probation period
Flexibility to work across different rooms and shifts to support nursery operations
Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced criminal records check (DBS) and full pre-employment checks, together with two references.
