Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner with recent experience of working within a nursery environment to join our team. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children in our nursery aged 0-5 years. Your primary responsibility will be to support the children's learning and development through engaging activities and interactions within the playroom.

Duties:

- To establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents and staff
- Create a stimulating and inclusive environment for children to learn and grow
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and experiences
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their learning and achievements
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's development and daily experiences
- Attend staff meetings, as well as training and professional development sessions where required.

Experience:

- Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is essential

- Minimum HNC/SVQ level 3 in a relevant Childcare qualification as well as be registered with SSSC
- Have knowledge of using Curricular documentation such as Pre Birth to Three and Curriculum for Excellence
- Ability to plan activities and engage children in learning experiences
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills to manage tasks effectively

We offer a four day working week. Salary is based on full time 36 hours.
