About Us

Chartham Holistic Kindergarten is a small, nurturing early years setting inspired by a holistic and Waldorf-influenced approach. We offer a warm, calm, child-centred environment where rhythm, outdoor play, imaginative learning, and respectful care are at the heart of our practice.

We are looking for a caring, committed and thoughtful practitioner to join our team. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who values nature-based learning and a gentle, unhurried approach to early childhood care.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting children's learning and wellbeing through play-based, child-led experiences Creating a warm, calm and respectful environment Contributing to daily rhythm and routines, indoors and outdoors Setting up and maintaining inviting play spaces using natural materials Supporting children's emotional development and positive behaviour Working collaboratively with the team and communicating effectively Ensuring safeguarding, hygiene and health & safety procedures are followed at all times Participating in reflective practice, meetings and ongoing training

What We're Looking For

Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification

(required) A warm, calm and patient approach with young children Ability to work positively as part of a small, supportive team Understanding of (or willingness to learn about)

Steiner Waldorf early years practice

Good communication skills with children, parents and colleagues Reliability, professionalism and commitment to safeguarding

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

, or willingness to obtain one

Desirable (but not essential)

Experience in nature-based or outdoor early years settings A passion for seasonal activities or gardening Interest in gentle parenting, holistic and child-led education
