Nursery Practitioner
Job Description
We are looking for a fun, loyal, reliable and committed individual to join our small independent team at Button's & Bow's Day Nursery Ltd.
The ideal candidate will have experience of and enjoy working/playing with children of a wide age range of 3 to 11 years. In addition to experience, you will hold a minimum relevant Childcare/Play-work qualification at level three or above. You will possess the skills to work both independently and as part of a team with the ability to effectively contribute to planning and play.
It is desirable but not essential that you hold a full driving licence of two years or more (with no endorsements) a fully enhanced DBS in the child sector and valid certificates in pediatric first aid, food safety and safeguarding
Duties will include but are not restricted to;
Undertaking chaperone duties
Assisting with planning, setting up, leading and assisting in activities
Updating child records and liaising with parents/carers/partners
Preparing/serving snacks in line with our Gold+ Healthy Snack award
General housekeeping, risk assessing
You will be employed on a
term time only
contract of a minimum of 22 hours a week to be worked Monday to Friday between 8 am to 6 pm, and a total of up to 10 "call to duty" days 9 am to 3 pm during 7 school holiday weeks. The position is salaried in reference to qualification with annual leave (pro-rata 5.6 weeks) to be taken during school holidays/periods of shutdown.Job Types: Part-time, Maternity cover until Jan 26, potential to be kept on following
