We are seeking a dedicated Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team to cover Maternity Leave from January 2026 to July 2026. Term time only.
The hours are:
9 -1 pm Monday to Friday
4-5 pm Thursdays to attend our weekly team meeting (via Teams if necessary)
The role is supporting a child on a 1:1 basis
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education
Experience working with children in a nursery setting.
Effective communication skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education to young children.
Responsibilities
Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years.
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support children's emotional and social development.
Maintain accurate records of children's development and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding policies at all times.
Requirements
Must have knowledge of Safeguarding, Health & Safety.
Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare (e.g., Level 3 or above).
Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their developmental needs.
