We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. The Nursery Practitioner will play a vital role in fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, contributing to the overall success of our nursery.
Duties
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development in line with nursery policies.
Supervise children during play, meal times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety at all times.
Support children's emotional well-being by providing comfort and encouragement.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines.
Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily schedules and ensure a smooth operation of nursery activities.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development, behaviour, and any concerns.
Uphold health and safety standards within the nursery environment.
Assist in organising outings and transportation when necessary, including driving duties if qualified.
Lead by example in demonstrating excellent childcare practices and management skills.
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting.
Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and child development stages.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Demonstrated management and leadership abilities within a team environment.
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or equivalent are essentil.
Ability to organise tasks efficiently whilst maintaining a caring approach towards children.
Passionate about early childhood education with a commitment to safeguarding children's welfare.
