We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team at Conkers Nursery School. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of young children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting children's learning through play and engaging activities.

Short listed candidate/s will be asked about relevant criminal records as part or pre-recruitment checks. If a relevant criminal record is disclosed, we will ensure an open and fair discussion takes place before making a final offer. After receiving the DBS check, we will discuss any matters revealed that have not been previously addressed, before reconsidering the conditional offer of employment.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery setting.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all children.
Be a key person for a small group of children.
Observe and assess children's progress, keeping accurate records to inform planning.
Support the management team in maintaining nursery standards and compliance with regulations.
Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive atmosphere for all children.
Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are essential, level 2 or above.
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
