Overview

We are seeking 2 dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner's to join our team at the Discovery Nursery Ltd @ Crabble Hill. The ideal candidates will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for babies.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of young children, ensuring their well-being, and promoting their learning through engaging activities.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education for children in the nursery setting. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for improvement. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships. Manage daily routines within the nursery, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times. Support children in their play and learning experiences, encouraging independence and self-confidence. Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive environment that meets the diverse needs of all children. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in early childhood education.

Requirements

A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development. Ability to drive is advantageous for potential off-site activities or training sessions. A commitment to safeguarding children's welfare and promoting their rights.

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm 38 wks term time 1 weeks holiday club
