Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with young children. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development and well-being of children in a nurturing environment, supporting their growth through engaging activities and personalised care. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive setting that promotes learning and development.

Duties



Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support children's developmental milestones Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication Observe and record children's progress, behaviour, and interests to inform future planning Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment in line with health and safety regulations Support children's emotional needs by providing reassurance and encouragement Assist with daily administrative tasks such as attendance records and activity planning Drive company vehicles when required to facilitate nursery outings or home visits

Skills



Proven management and leadership abilities within a childcare setting Extensive experience working with children in nurseries or early childhood education environments Strong understanding of child development principles and childcare best practices Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to build rapport with children and parents alike Ability to organise activities effectively whilst maintaining flexibility to adapt to children's needs Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare) are preferred

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: 31,000.00-34,000.00 per year
