About Us:
Our nursery, owned by a qualified EYTS with over 20 years experience in Early Years, is built on the foundations of warmth, community, and quality of Education. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels valued and supported, and to playing our part in supporting the community of Hassocks.
We are the nursery of choice for families in our village, and thanks to a large number of new children starting, we are seeking a new qualified educator for our team.
About the Role:
You will work closely with your colleagues, to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery. You'll be a key figure in supporting both the care and education of our children.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Work with your Room Leader to deliver an outstanding level of education and care
Share your ideas and knowledge with the team to help keep learning activities fresh and exciting for the children
Be prepared to play, sing, dance, create props and generally be a wonderfully fun and creative person for children to be inspired by
Be excited to support children's learning in our beautiful garden
Know the EYFS back to front and inside out so you can help children develop
Ensure you work to all OFSTED statutory requirements
Form secure relationships with children ensuring they feel safe and cared for everyday
Ensure all safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance standards are consistently met
Foster strong partnerships with parents
Help create a warm, welcoming environment where children, families and staff thrive
Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures
Support with community events
About You
Level 2 or above in Early Years Education (or equivalent) - essential
Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and health and safety
A team player with excellent communication and organisational skills
Passionate about delivering outstanding care and education
Excited to support the local community
