Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage diverse groups of children will be essential in fostering their development.

Duties

Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to track their development. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive team environment, demonstrating leadership skills when necessary. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Support children's emotional well-being by fostering positive relationships and encouraging social interactions.

Qualifications

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3) is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Ability to manage groups of children effectively while promoting positive behaviour. Leadership qualities that enable you to inspire and guide other staff members when required. A genuine drive to support children's learning and development in a nurturing environment. An understanding of the EYFS framework is advantageous.
