The School and Nursery

We are a vibrant, 109-place nursery located close to the town centre and rail links. We operate 51 weeks a year (7:30 am-6:30 pm) across five distinct rooms for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Our goal is to provide a "home away from home" where safety is paramount and children can grow in confidence. We offer a stimulating environment that includes specialist sessions in music, ballet, French, and sport. We also maintain close links with Bronte School, a co-educational independent prep school located in a separate building nearby.

Person Specification and Qualifications

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Bronte Nursery. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. If you are passionate about early years education and want to be part of a supportive team, we want to hear from you.

We welcome applications from those with a Level 2 or 3 childcare qualification and early years experience. However, unqualified applicants are also encouraged to apply.

We are looking for someone who offers:

The Role

Reporting directly to the Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in the daily running of the nursery. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and education, ensuring that every child feels safe and valued.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS. Ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all children. Building strong partnerships with parents and carers. Working collaboratively with the management team to maintain high standards.
We believe in working hard but also maintaining a healthy work-life balance. This role is for 40 hours per week, based on a rotational shift pattern across a 4 day working week.

We operate across three shift patterns

Early: 7:15 am - 5:15 pm Middle: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Late: 8:30 am - 6:30 pm

Remuneration & Benefits

Salary:

20,800 - 26,328 per annum.

Holidays:

4 weeks + Bank Holidays.

Pension:

Company pension scheme available.

Overtime:

Opportunity for additional paid hours during busy periods.

Requirements

Level 2 or 3 childcare qualification and early years experience preferred. However, unqualified applicants are also encouraged to apply. Previous experience in a nursery setting is preferred. A positive attitude and a passion for child development.
