We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. The Nursery Practitioner will work closely with colleagues and parents to ensure the highest standards of childcare and education are maintained.
Duties
Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in line with early childhood education principles
Supervise children during play, meal times, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
Foster a warm, welcoming environment that promotes learning through play and exploration
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
Collaborate with colleagues to organise activities, outings, and special events
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and daily experiences
Assist in the organisation of the nursery environment to ensure it is safe, clean, and stimulating
Support the induction and mentoring of new staff or interns as required
Drive nursery vehicles for outings or errands if necessary, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
Experience
Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting
Strong management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
Demonstrated leadership qualities in previous roles involving childcare or education
Knowledge of child development stages and early childhood education frameworks
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Experience with childcare management systems is desirable
Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation duties
