Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in nurturing the development of young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive growth in a safe and stimulating environment.

Duties

Provide attentive and responsive care to children aged 0-11 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, tailored to the individual needs of each child. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's development. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform future planning. Support the nursery's leadership team in managing daily operations and maintaining high standards of care. Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages children's participation and enjoyment. Drive initiatives that promote children's health, hygiene, and overall well-being within the nursery setting.

Qualifications

A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience in childcare is essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively engage with children and families. Leadership qualities with the ability to manage small groups of children during activities. A genuine love for working with young children and an understanding of their developmental needs. Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the nursery environment and support children's learning experiences.
