Job Description

Due to increasing numbers of children we are looking for enthusiastic new practitioners to join our penguin family. We are looking for 2 part time Level 3 qualified practitioners, who are extremely motivated and dedicated to providing the highest standards of care to our children. Penguin is a family orientated business which values an even work life balance for all of its staff. We always aim to provide flexibility to support the needs of our staff and families.

Term time only or all year round hours are available.

Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and learning experiences
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to thrive in
- Monitor and supervise children during indoor and outdoor playtime
- Collaborate with parents and communicate regularly about their child's progress
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery area
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures

Requirements:
- Minimum of a Level 3 in childcare
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices is essential
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with colleagues
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
- Job is dependant on an enhanced DBS check, suitable references and successful trial period
