Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children.

This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being while fostering their social and emotional growth.

Duties

Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring a smooth flow of activities. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's individual needs. Drive positive behaviour management strategies to encourage good manners, respect, and cooperation among children. Provide leadership within the nursery setting by mentoring junior staff and supporting their professional development. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment that meets health and safety regulations. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and sharing insights with parents during meetings.

Experience

A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively engage with children and families. Proven ability to manage groups of children while promoting an inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued. Experience in driving initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings will be considered an advantage.
