Kids at Heart, Knaresborough, are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and education to young children. - Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and learning experiences
- Observe and monitor children's development and progress
- Collaborate with parents and communicate effectively about the child's day
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress and development
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Follow nursery policies and procedures

Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent or a willing to undertake an apprenticeship
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is preferred
- Knowledge of child development and early years curriculum
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
- First Aid certification (desirable, but will be able to attend a course once started)
- An understanding of Safeguarding training, which will be done on our learning platform once started with us.

hours can be over 4 or 5 days to suit the candidates and nurseries needs where possible, we are open from 7am to 6pm, 51 weeks a year.

Experience:

Nursery experience: 1 year (preferred) Childcare: 1 year (preferred)

We are a rural setting and public transport is very limited so having the

ability to drive or have transport is essential.
