We are looking for a Qualified Nursery Practitioner, to join our team, at our Ofsted Outstanding private, independent nursery. You must have a kind and caring nature and be passionate, about caring and educating children, from birth to 5 years. You will be offered free breakfast, lunch and tea, a paid lunch break, the opportunity to join an after-work yoga class and regular staff outings. You will be given six weeks holiday, plus Bank Holidays, and will work four ten-hour days a week. We are not part of a chain, therefore your place of work will be fixed. We have excellent staff retention with many staff being with us for more than 10 years and some for 20 years. So please come and see our beautiful nursery and meet our lovely staff.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and support individual needs.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's development and addressing any concerns.
Manage daily routines within the nursery, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all children.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and self-esteem.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an inclusive atmosphere that values diversity and promotes equal opportunities.
Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Requirements
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities while managing small groups of children effectively.
A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to engage with young learners creatively.
Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in nursery settings.
Capability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences within the nursery environment.
