Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of child development. This role offers an opportunity to contribute positively to young children's growth and learning in a nurturing environment. Applicants should possess relevant experience in nursery settings and demonstrate excellent communication skills. A valid driving licence is preferred to support mobility needs.

Duties

Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to children's developmental stages Supervise and support children during play, learning, and meal times Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of childcare and education Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's wellbeing and development Support the implementation of early childhood education programmes in line with organisational policies Assist with organising outings or trips that enhance learning experiences

Qualifications

Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development theories Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily nursery operations Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are desirable Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required Valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting nursery activities outside the premises
