Job Summary:
We are seeking passionate, dedicated, and qualified
Level 2 and Level 3 Nursery Practitioners
to join our nurturing and vibrant early years setting. Whether you're newly qualified at Level 2 or an experienced Level 3 practitioner, we have roles suited to your skills and career stage. You will play a vital role in supporting the development, care, and education of children in a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities (Both Levels):
Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
Promote a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for all children
Plan and deliver engaging activities that support each child's learning and development
Observe and assess children's progress, contributing to learning journals and developmental records
Build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Ensure daily routines are followed, including mealtimes, hygiene, and sleep
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation in all areas
Comply with all safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies
Additional Responsibilities for Level 3 Practitioners:
Take responsibility as a key person for a group of children, planning and tracking their individual development
Lead activities and model best practice for Level 2 staff, apprentices, and students
Support the Room Leader and Management in delivering high standards of care and education
Contribute to inspection preparation and continuous improvement initiatives
Act as a mentor and support junior team members when required
Candidate Requirements:
Level 2 Nursery Practitioner:
Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (e.g., CACHE Level 2 Certificate)
Understanding of EYFS and child development
Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction
Passionate about working with young children
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Level 3 Nursery Practitioner:
Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma)
Strong understanding of EYFS and key person responsibilities
Experience in a childcare setting
Confident in planning and delivering activities independently
Leadership potential and good communication skills
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Paediatric First Aid (desirable)
