Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage a diverse group of children, and a commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for their development.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education for children in the nursery. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive environment. Manage daily routines, including meal times, playtime, and rest periods. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development. Foster positive relationships with children to encourage their emotional well-being. Uphold health and safety standards within the nursery at all times. Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive learning environment.

Qualifications

Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.

Qualified to Level 2/3 in Early Years.

Food Hygiene, First Aid, Safeguarding training is an advantage. Strong leadership skills to guide and support both children and staff. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences. A genuine passion for childcare and commitment to children's development. Knowledge of child safeguarding practices is desirable. New Vision Day Nursery has a commitment to Safeguarding children. We will require 2 references, and a enhanced DBS check. Salary is dependant on experience.
