We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. Duties
Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of children.
Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times within the nursery setting.
Support children's individual needs through personalised care plans.
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's progress and daily routines.
Assist in the assessment and documentation of children's development milestones.
Lead by example in behaviour management, promoting positive discipline strategies.
Collaborate with team members to develop programmes that meet early childhood education standards.
Support the induction and mentoring of new staff or interns as required.
Drive nursery vehicles for outings or activities when necessary, subject to holding a valid driving licence.
Experience
Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
Demonstrable management or leadership skills in a childcare environment.
Strong understanding of child development principles and childcare best practices.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Experience with organising activities that support early learning objectives.
Valid driving licence is desirable for facilitating outings or errands related to nursery activities.
Previous experience in childcare roles that involve managing groups of children safely and effectively.
