Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Responsibilities



Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialisation, and development Supervising children during playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety at all times Supporting children's emotional well-being by providing reassurance and encouragement Maintaining accurate records of children's progress and daily routines Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of the nursery environment Communicating effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and daily experiences Assisting with the organisation of nursery events and outings, including driving when necessary Upholding health and safety standards in line with regulatory requirements Leading by example to foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere within the nursery setting

Qualifications



Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting is highly desirable Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred Valid driving licence is advantageous for organising outings or transporting children when required Ability to work flexibly within nursery hours, demonstrating organisational skills and adaptability A caring attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for supporting young children's growth and learning
