We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and experience working with young children, demonstrating excellent management and leadership skills. Duties
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's developmental milestones
Supervise and ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at all times
Foster a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages learning through play
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and organise activities
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
Manage daily operational tasks within the nursery setting, including organisation of resources and materials
Lead by example to promote best practices in childcare and early childhood education
Support the professional development of junior staff members through mentoring and guidance
Assist with transportation duties as required, ensuring safe driving practices are adhered to
Requirements
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting
Strong management and leadership capabilities within a childcare environment
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education standards
Ability to organise activities effectively whilst managing multiple priorities
Valid driving licence preferred for transportation responsibilities
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent recognised certification are essential
A caring attitude with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children
Commitment to safeguarding policies and procedures within the nursery setting
