We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood development and committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while making a positive impact on children's lives. Previous nursery experience and early childhood education qualifications are highly desirable. Duties
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's development across all areas, including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills.
Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and organised activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines in accordance with nursery policies.
Support the management team in organising daily operations and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
Lead by example in maintaining high standards of childcare practice and professionalism.
Assist with the organisation of nursery events and outings, including occasional driving responsibilities if qualified.
Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery programmes by sharing ideas and best practices.
Qualifications
Experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages.
Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff and organise activities effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred.
Ability to work as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and organisational skills.
